·       Billie Joe and Mike met in the school canteen at the age of 10 and Mike got used to go to Billie Joe's house to play the guitar.

·       1986, BJ and Mike joined a band together – sweet children

·       Mike mainly plays a Gibson G-3 bass, but he has recently been using Fender '66 and '69 American Standard Precision basses. He has also used a Fender '62 Vintage Precision bass

·       Unlike Billie, Mike earned good grades in high school, and he even completed some courses at a local community college.
